A Saturday-night storm call
“…the doorbell rang and there was Donovan, dripping wet, saying the storm had knocked out a capacitor and that he’d fixed the problem!”
“Our heat pump quit on Saturday night and the big storm began. The house was already 85 degrees… Worried about the effect of the heat on our older pets and us, I reluctantly called and left a message on Ken’s cell phone. I was grateful that a response soon arrived, which led to a series of calls with Ken, the after-hours number, and finally with Donovan.
Donovan kindly agreed to come out but the storm hit hard and I wondered if I would get weekend help in the lightning and rain. To my surprise, the doorbell rang and there was Donovan, dripping wet, saying the storm had knocked out a capacitor and that he’d fixed the problem! We were surprised and grateful!
